About Rhianna

Currently not accepting new clients

From a young age, Rhianna has been captivated by the depths of the human psyche and the intricate relationship between experiences, thoughts, emotions, and behaviours that come to define our very existence. This curiosity has driven her to explore the complexities of the human condition and to understand what truly makes us who we are. As an AHPRA registered psychologist, Rhianna brings a diverse background that includes teaching from primary through to Year 12, university lecturing and tutoring, behavioural support for children with autism, scientific experimental research, and creative project management/ educational content development.

Rhianna is dedicated to offering innovative and evidence-based interventions. Her therapeutic experience in both private practice and public health settings has honed her ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental issues for clients of all ages.

Rhianna strives to enhance her clients’ self-awareness and understanding through psychoeducation and empowerment, while nurturing their readiness and motivation – guiding individuals towards meaningful change. She has a particular passion for working with complex trauma, interpersonal and familial challenges, neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ASD, ADHD), and the adjustment to and management of chronic disease and complex medical illnesses.

Rhianna’s holistic approach to mental health is exemplified by her concurrent role in a multidisciplinary hospital outpatient clinic focusing on chronic pain management. Here, she supports clients often with complex and multifaceted health issues such as autoimmune disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, hypermobility syndromes, Dysautonomia (e.g., Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome [POTS]), rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue.

Her approach to therapy is deeply enriched by her background as a former competitive athlete and her ongoing personal experience with chronic disease (POTS), lending a unique authenticity and empathy to her practice.

Rhianna employs a blend of humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural techniques that emphasize fostering autonomy, self-respect, self-compassion, accountability, and collaboration. She firmly believes in the potential of every individual and is genuinely committed to helping those who wish to uncover theirs.

Rhianna’s strengths lie in her warm and non-judgemental demeanour, comprehensive and integrated approach, and unwavering commitment to providing consistent, high-quality patient care.
