
Lee is a provisionally registered
Psychologist currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology
at Griffith University. During his studies, Lee has completed research
examining age-related cognitive decline and emotional vigilance in adolescents
to older adults. Most recently, Lee has been conducting field-based research
examining the breadth and severity of people’s substance use practices before,
during, and upon exiting night-time entertainment districts throughout
Queensland, Australia.
Lee has worked across government and university settings where he has offered treatment for a variety of mental health issues across the lifespan. Throughout this time, Lee has developed a specific interest in working with emotional regulation difficulties, chronic shame, anxiety, substance abuse, and men’s mental health. Lee is first and foremost an evidence-based practitioner and strongly believes in nurturing a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. Accordingly, he works collaboratively with people to find the right evidence-based approach for them to explore and navigate their own internal experiences. Lee is passionate about helping people make sustainable improvements to their psychological functioning so they can live more fulfilled and enjoyable lives.
