                                        Group Therapy

Group psychotherapy or group therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which one or more therapists treat a small group of clients together as a group. The term can legitimately refer to any form of psychotherapy when delivered in a group format, where the group context and group process is explicitly utilised as a mechanism of change by developing, exploring and examining interpersonal relationships within the group.

We offer a range of group therapy sessions, so have a look at what we offer and either give us a call or send us an email if you are interested in attending any of the group sessions and we will notify you when the next group starts.

Cost: $60 per session
**You might be able to claim 10 group sessions plus 10 individual sessions if your GP referred you under Medicare's Better Access, GP Mental Health Care Plan***

CBT Group Therapy

Our CBT group sessions is an ideal way to learn and become skilled in the use of CBT.  Each of our therapists use CBT in individual therapy sessions but there is not always enough time to cover CBT in detail due to situational problems our clients usually need to discuss.  The group therapy sessions are therefore excellent because we solely focus on CBT which will help you become skilled in managing your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

The group is run by our Clinical Psychologist, Irene.  Email us if you would like to be added to waiting list for the CBT group.
